FAS Risk Community Of Practice Builder And Operator

As a builder and operator of the FAS Risk Community of Practice, you will connect risk professionals across functions to learn, share, and collaborate. You drive capability-building programs and knowledge-sharing that support risk-informed decision making within the FAS ecosystem. You will cultivate cross-functional relationships, capture lessons learned, and facilitate coordination to strengthen organizational learning and effectiveness. This role blends hands-on execution with strategic facilitation to advance risk culture and capability, contributing directly to Vanguard's mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the FAS Risk Community of Practice to enable learning and collaboration across risk, controls, resilience, and specialist functions.
• Design and deliver development programs, forums, workshops, and case studies to build capability for risk-informed decision making.
• Build relationships across business-owned risk, independent risk, compliance, legal, and other specialist teams to improve coordination.
• Capture and disseminate lessons learned and best practices from initiatives and risk events to strengthen organizational learning.
• Facilitate cross-organizational collaboration by connecting teams with relevant expertise in response to priorities and initiatives.
• Support operational effectiveness of the FAS Risk function through communications and coordination activities.
• Partner with risk leadership and business leaders to identify capability-building opportunities and strengthen the risk ecosystem.
• Develop broad knowledge of the FAS business, risk and control environment, and related specialist disciplines; act as a trusted connector and facilitator.

Key requirements

• Eight+ years related experience
• Experience in organizational effectiveness, risk, controls, compliance, legal, learning and development, or related disciplines
• Undergraduate degree; graduate degree preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication
