Construction Estimator

- Lead preconstruction efforts, developing accurate budgets and bids
- Analyze drawings and specs to deliver competitive, precise estimates
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to determine project scope and budget expectations.
- Source and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, materials, and labor costs in the property industry.
- Prepare detailed and organized bid proposals for submission to clients.
- Monitor project costs and provide updates to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all estimates align with company standards and client requirements.
The Successful Applicant A successful Estimator should have:
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills to create accurate cost estimates.
- Experience in the property and construction industry, with a focus on estimating processes.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including clients and internal teams.
