We produce, package, and ship private-label products customized to meet our customers’ specific needs.AFI is an innovative organization with proven experience in creating exciting new products that redefine what is possible in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.Position SummaryThe Quality Co-Man Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and trending customer complaint data to identify patterns, root causes, and opportunities for continuous improvement across manufacturing and quality systems.This role transforms large datasets into actionable insights that support data-driven decision making, improve product quality, and reduce consumer complaints.The analyst will partner cross-functionally with Quality, Operations, R&D, Engineering, and Customer teams to translate data into improvement strategies, corrective actions, and preventive initiatives.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & TrendingCollect, consolidate, and analyze customer complaint data across products, production lots, and time periodsDevelop dashboards and analytical models to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging quality risksTrack and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including:Complaints per million units (CPM)Complaint rates by product, lot, and production lineComplaint category trends (e.g., texture, dispense, packaging defects)Identify correlations between complaint data and manufacturing variables such as production date, equipment, ingredients, and process conditionsContinuous ImprovementTranslate data trends into actionable insights that drive quality improvement initiativesPartner with Quality and Operations teams to prioritize opportunities based on data-driven risk assessmentSupport root cause investigations using tools such as statistical analysis, 5-Why analysis, and fishbone diagramsMonitor effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through ongoing data trackingReporting & VisualizationBuild and maintain automated dashboards and reports for leadership and cross-functional teamsPresent clear, concise insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPrepare executive-level summaries highlighting risks, trends, and improvement opportunitiesQuality Systems SupportMaintain complaint databases ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and traceabilitySupport regulatory, customer, and internal quality reporting requirementsAssist with quality review meetings by providing trend analysis and supporting metricsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Customer Service to ensure accurate complaint categorizationCollaborate with Operations and Engineering to align complaint data with process performanceSupport customer inquiries and investigations with data-driven insightsQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Food Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Quality Management, Business Analytics, or a related technical fieldExperience2–5 years of experience in data analytics, quality analytics, or continuous improvement rolesExperience in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or regulated environments preferredTechnical SkillsStrong analytical and statistical analysis capabilitiesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data modeling, functions)Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platformsExperience working with large datasets and identifying meaningful trendsQuality & Process KnowledgeUnderstanding of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience with CAPA, root cause analysis, and investigation processesExposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies preferredKey CompetenciesAnalytical thinking and problem solvingData visualization and storytellingStrong attention to detail and data accuracyCross-functional collaborationAbility to translate complex data into actionable insightsContinuous improvement mindsetWork EnvironmentOn-site role in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentHigh collaboration across Quality, Operations, R&D, and Customer teamsSuccess MetricsSuccess in this role will be measured by:Reduction in customer complaint rates over timeIdentification and execution of actionable improvement opportunitiesDevelopment and adoption of dashboards and reporting tools by leadershipEffective support of quality investigations through data-driven insightsEqual Employment OpportunityAlamance Foods, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
