It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they are doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Memorial Hermann - GoHealth Urgent CarePhysician - Per DiemDue to our growth and expansion, Memorial Hermann - GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physicians who have urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients.Join our welcoming and diverse community of providers to work in our South Region as a Per Dim Provider!South Region Centers:Clear Lake, Fulshear, Greater Heights, Katy Park, Manvel, Missouri City, Royal Oaks Centre, Sawyer Heights, Sugar Land Riverpark, Tanglewood, The Heights, Town & Country, West UniversitySummary:Physicians independently perform a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections and are also responsible for selecting and utilizing appropriate diagnostics and/or therapeutic procedures for patients.Job Requirements:EducationGraduate of an accredited medical school requiredWork Experience2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience requiredMinimum 18 months’ experience in applicable practice setting requiredAdult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferredRequired Licenses/CertificationsBoard Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency MedicineActive state medical licensureAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RequiredExperience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine settingApplicable office procedures include but are not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities PreferredKnowledge and experience with Electronic Medical RecordsAbility to be attentive with strong listening skillsStrong communication and customer service skillsEssential FunctionsEssential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Following are the essential functions of the job.Job Responsibilities include:Examining and treating patientsTaking patients’ medical historiesOrdering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-raysMaking diagnoses and prescribing medicationsTreating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or castingRecording progress notes for follow-up patientsEducating and counseling patientsOrdering and/or carrying out therapy with patientsGiving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional careSupervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely when cases are presented to you for supervisionAct as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA/NPs in the credentialing process, including signoff of the PA/NPs delineation of privileges (DOP)Each provider will work an anticipated eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shiftAll other duties as assignedNote: this job description is not inclusive of all the duties of the position.
