AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN (DIRECT HIRE)

Location: Bakersfield, CA

Pay: $33–$36/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Some weekends, overtime & seasonal schedule changes may be required

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles, including autos and ambulances. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who can work independently, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and provide quality repairs with minimal supervision.

✅ MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
MUST HAVE Minimum 3 years of proven light to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience
Experience working on Ford, Chevrolet, and GMC
Strong experience with: A/C systems Power steering Hydraulic brakes, Computerized diagnostics, Electrical troubleshooting Valid California Driver License & Clean DMV record
Ability to provide own necessary hand tools 

⭐ PREFERRED ASE Certification preferred

️ WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel vehicles

Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Troubleshoot engines, fuel injection, driveline, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C, and electrical systems
Perform computerized diagnostics using electronic test equipment
Work on Ford, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles
Document repairs, labor, equipment, and parts accurately using a computer
Read and interpret repair orders, service manuals, and training materials

Test drive vehicles to verify completed repairs

Communicate with Shop and Office Managers regarding schedules and assignments
Assist and guide other technicians as needed
Follow all company, safety, environmental, and EPA procedures
