Job Title Chair and Professor, Department of Educational Leadership and Research Methodology (ELRM) Location Boca Raton, Florida Appointment 12‑month, starting Spring 2026, rank of full professor, tenured, located on the Boca Raton campus. The Department Chair reports to the CoE Dean. Responsibilities Serve as the academic department’s senior faculty member and administrator. Recruit, develop, and evaluate faculty, and oversee instructional program development and quality enhancement. Coordinate departmental research and service programs and manage departmental budget and resources. Represent the department to university councils, committees, alumni, and professional organizations. Maintain relationships with students, other administrators, and external partners. Work collaboratively with the dean and other unit leaders to guide the work of the College of Education. Teach graduate courses in educational leadership, mentor Ph.D. students, and sustain an active research and scholarship agenda. Qualifications Earned doctoral degree in a field closely related to educational leadership, school leadership, or research methodology. Distinguished record of scholarship, teaching, and service sufficient to meet tenure eligibility and demonstrate readiness for full‑professor rank. Administrative, managerial, and financial knowledge and skills to lead an academic department. Effective collaborative leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Substantive commitment to and demonstrated contributions in higher education, educational leadership, or research methodology. Eligibility to work in the United States at the time of appointment and for the duration of employment. Excellent record of teaching and mentoring; experience developing and maintaining partnerships with schools; history of securing external funding. Experience cultivating departmental research activity and a record of institutionalizing accreditation processes. Ability to lead the department in working with multiple constituencies and promote strategic priorities. Compensation Salary: Commensurate with experience.
