Certified Medical Assistant or LPN, RHC Abbeville, Full Time, First Shift

Job Duties and Responsibilities Assist physicians and staff by performing clinical duties/functions of staging patients in preparation for physician visits and completing patient assessments. Update all medications, allergies, family history, and other required information at each visit. Perform and document all office procedures (EKC, eye exam, blood collection, immunizations, injections, diagnostic tests, wound care, treatments, etc.). Triage calls in a timely manner to determine the urgency of patients’ symptoms and the course of action for when they should be seen by a provider. Provide patient instructions and education. E‑prescribe according to practice standing order or at the discretion of the physician and complete tasks in EMR. Perform venipuncture and process laboratory specimens according to standard laboratory procedures. Perform laboratory analysis with accuracy and speed using multiple methodologies and techniques—both automated and manual—according to department procedures and protocols. Maintain technical knowledge in all areas of the laboratory, including pre‑analytic, analytic, and post‑analytic phases. Demonstrate expertise through performance technique, troubleshooting skills, specimen handling, test‑result review/verification, and timely intervention when appropriate. Maintain an operational knowledge of all necessary equipment. Calibrate, perform quality control, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment following manufacturers’ guidelines, lab protocol, and plant maintenance schedules. Collaborate with other staff members to provide proper patient care. Work toward the goal of upholding the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Job Qualifications High school education required. Post‑high‑school medical studies with certifications as Medical Assistant (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMMA) required. #J-18808-Ljbffr Self Regional Healthcare
