Location: 207 Boling Industrial Way SE, Calhoun, GA 30701
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $16/hr
Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday
About the Role Pad Prep is a precision cutting role on the Stark production floor. You'll measure and cut padding materials — foam, batting, and fabric — to the exact specs of each work order, label and stage them for production, and keep your area clean and moving. The work is hands-on and steady, with real opportunity to cross-train into other production areas over time.
What You'll Do
- Measure and cut padding materials (foam, batting, fabric) using hand tools, cutting machines, and templates
- Follow work orders, cut sheets, and patterns to hit exact dimensions and quantities
- Inspect materials for defects before and after cutting
- Label and organize cut pieces for production use or inventory
- Keep the cutting area clean, organized, and safe; track material usage and waste
- Help maintain cutting equipment and flag mechanical issues to your lead
- Cross-train into other production areas as work allows
Required
- Comfortable with basic math and measurement (tape measures, rulers)
- Able to read and follow cut sheets, patterns, and written work instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to stand, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs multiple times per day
- Reliable attendance — this role depends on a consistent, on-time team
Preferred
- Previous experience in material cutting, manufacturing, or a production environment
