Senior Production Designer

RH is seeking a Senior Production Designer to support the creation and execution of our Sourcebook, ensuring the highest standards of design accuracy, consistency, and craftsmanship. This role will collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, Copywriters, and Production teams, bringing concepts to life through expert layout production, asset management, quality control, and prepress preparation.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and produce Sourcebook page layouts, maintaining strict adherence to RH brand guidelines and template specificationsTranslate creative direction into highly refined, production-ready files while preserving design integrity throughout all stages of developmentCollaborate with Creative, Editorial, Photography, and Merchandising teams to proactively resolve production challenges and ensure accurate and timely integration of contentPrepare, organize, and manage complex production files for print, ensuring all assets meet technical specifications and the highest quality standardsLead rigorous reviews of layouts for accuracy, consistency, and completeness, identifying and resolving issues throughout the production processManage image placement, typography, pagination, and version control across multiple Sourcebook sections, complex revisions, and overlapping workstreamsCoordinate with external print vendors and prepress partners to oversee proofing, troubleshoot production issues, support color accuracy, and ensure successful final file deliveryMaintain and evolve organized file structures, asset libraries, templates, and workflow documentation to support efficient and scalable production processesIdentify opportunities to develop and refine production workflows, standards, and best practices that improve efficiency while maintaining exceptional qualityServe as a production design resource to creative partners, providing guidance on production standards, technical requirements, and best practicesAnticipate production risks, dependencies, and potential issues, proactively developing solutions to maintain quality and critical timelinesPartner with cross-functional teams to manage priorities and meet critical deadlines in a high-volume production environment

OUR REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of experience in production design, print production, editorial design, catalog production, or a related fieldAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and IllustratorExpert understanding of print production processes, prepress requirements, color management, proofing, and file preparationExtensive experience working with large-format publications, catalogs, magazines, or editorial layouts preferredIndependently manage multiple complex projects and priorities while meeting tight deadlinesStrong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skillsProven ability to work effectively and exercise sound judgment within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentStrong knowledge of typography, layout principles, design systems, and production best practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
