Make a meaningful difference each day by supporting elementary students as a Paraprofessional in a vibrant school environment near Highwood, IL. Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Paraprofessional license
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Patience, adaptability, and a heart for helping others succeed
- Ability to follow directions and work under the supervision of licensed teachers
Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom and one-on-one support to elementary students
- Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management
- Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Help implement accommodations and modifications as part of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and transitions
- Maintain open communication with staff and follow school policies and procedures
This role starts as soon as possible and runs through June 3, 2027. The schedule offers 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, so you can enjoy consistency and meaningful engagement with students and staff alike.
