Job Summary and Department Description The Client Credentialing Department is responsible for the preparation and management of all credentialing document requirements essential for deployment of Healthcare Professionals (HCP) and for the maintenance of such requirements throughout their contract term. The Manager of Client Credentialing is responsible for monitoring, recording, and tracking pre-arrival medical requirements prior to the Healthcare Professionals (HCP) assignment start. In addition, this role will ensure all HCPs have obtained and submitted mandatory health requirements on an annual basis. The Manager, Client Credentialing, will lead HCP medical events and coordinate any necessary medical follow up while HCPs are in the Transitions Program. This role will track immunizations/vaccines compliance, coordinate with local health departments TB Programs when necessary and communicate work delays to key stakeholders. The Manager will also be responsible for connecting with the HCP on assignment to provide any necessary education regarding successfully completing their annual Core Competency Test while on assignment. The Client Credentialing Team also will collaborate with other company stakeholders to ensure Joint Commission compliance and take part in the Joint Commission Survey process. - Direct, oversee the daily workflow, and plan all duties/responsibilities of the Client Credentialing department
- Develop, implement, and refine credentialing workflows, policies, and standard operating procedures aligned with Joint Commission standards and industry best practices.
- Monitor credentialing quality metrics, turnaround times, and accuracy rates; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure primary source verification, license validation, background checks, immunizations, competency assessments, and ongoing monitoring are completed accurately and within required timeframes and in compliance with Joint Commission standards
- Oversee credentialing and ongoing compliance tracking to ensure 100% credential validity during assignments.
- Monitor HCP compliance with pre-arrival testing, vaccinations, and medical clearance
- Coordinate any HCP medical support or follow-up needed for medical clearance and or a return-to-work statement by treating physician
- Review HCPs who may not have received passing score for annual Core Competency tests and schedule re-test, secure coaching as needed
- Lead HCP medical events and coordinate vendor schedule to ensure HCPs pre hire screenings are performed with a high degree of integrity and reliability, including but not limited to drug screens, QuantiFERON Gold testing, Mask fit testing, titer and vaccine administration and any diagnostics
- Collaborate with outside resources such as healthcare providers, physician office administrators, medical Manager, laboratory and diagnostic centers, regulatory agencies, and health departments
- Coordinate any medical or diagnostic follow up for any HCP who needs medical clearance for employment
- Coordinate with the state’s local health department or TB Program any reportable communicable disease follows up needed by the Avant HCP
- Communicate to the key stakeholders any delays in assignment starts due to missing documents or based on medical clearance
- Monitor and escalate HCP non-compliance with mandatory medicals, immunizations, vaccines, and or mask fit testing while HCP is on assignment
- Lead, coach, and develop credentialing team members, ensuring consistent application of standards and a high level of accountability.
- Perform quality reviews, audits, and performance feedback to maintain excellence in credentialing delivery.
- Support staffing coverage, workload balancing, and process training to meet operational demand.
- Evaluate key metrics and implement solutions as required
- Facilitate and participate in management team meetings, daily huddles, team meetings, and offsite meetings to discuss company and departmental goals
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards related to healthcare staffing credentialing,
- Participates as an active member of Avant’s Leadership Team
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare credentialing, medical staff services, or healthcare staffing operations.
- Preferred demonstrated working knowledge of Joint Commission standards related to credentialing and healthcare staffing.
- Experience managing or leading credentialing teams or workflows.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, accreditation, and client-driven compliance requirements.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with credentialing software platforms and document management systems
- Technical Skills: Fundamental ability to perform technical skills required for job role. This may include the use of specific technology, knowledge of job-specific tasks and concepts, etc. Fundamental ability to supervise project workflows for the team. Fundamental ability to handle routine tasks and non-routine tasks; and handle tasks with high level of complexity with limited guidance, and to guide others to do similar tasks.
