Our client is based in Central New Jersey and is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance team.
The Opportunity
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting. This is a hands-on position with significant involvement in the monthly and year-end close, reconciliations, financial analysis, compliance, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Conduct monthly variance analysis and investigate unusual trends
- Support financial reporting, audits, tax compliance, and lender/bank reporting
- Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls
What They're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
