Board Certified Vascular Surgeon Locum/Contract Wilkes-Barre, PA Stafingo Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 Contract / 1099 Independent Contractor About the Role Stafingo is seeking a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon to provide on-site clinical coverage at a VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This is a long-term, recurring contract opportunity (multi-year engagement) offering steady scheduled shifts plus supplemental on-call work. Schedule • Day shifts: Monday Friday, 8.5 hours/day (clinic and OR coverage) • Weeknight call: Periodic 15.5-hour on-call shifts (4:30 PM 8:00 AM) • Weekend call: Periodic 63.5-hour on-call shifts (Friday 4:30 PM Monday 8:00 AM) • Callback: Paid hourly when called back to the facility during an on-call period Compensation • $3,700/day for standard on-site clinical shifts ( $435/hour) • $1,300/shift weeknight call stipend • $5,000/shift weekend call stipend • $600/hour for callback hours • Weekly or bi-weekly direct deposit • Malpractice/professional liability insurance provided ($1M per occurrence / $3M aggregate) Requirements • Current, full and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or DC (Pennsylvania license required prior to start) • Board Certification in Vascular Surgery, current and in good standing • Active DEA registration • National Provider Identifier (NPI) • Ability to pass VA credentialing/privileging (VetPro) and background vetting • Current ACLS/BLS certification • Up-to-date immunizations/screenings: TB (TST/IGRA), MMR, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, COVID-19 documentation • Clean OIG exclusion list status • Fluent English (spoken and written) What We Offer • Competitive day, call, and callback rates • Malpractice coverage included • Credentialing and licensing support • Consistent, long-term scheduled work (multi-year facility contract) • Dedicated staffing coordinator for scheduling and onboarding About the Facility Services are provided on-site at a VA Medical Center, delivering the full range of vascular surgery care to Veterans, with the standard of care meeting or exceeding American College of Surgeons guidelines.
