Role Summary

As a Financial Intelligence Analyst - BSA, you'll play a key role in protecting our customers and the bank from potential fraud and suspicious activities. You'll analyze account activity, investigate alerts, and make decisions that directly impact the bank's risk exposure. This role offers opportunities to grow your expertise in financial crime investigations and regulatory compliance while contributing to a strong ethical risk culture.

Key Accountabilities

• Investigate system-generated alerts, internal referrals, and customer activity to identify irregular or suspicious behavior.
• Analyze customer and transaction data using various systems and databases to assess potential risk.
• Document findings thoroughly in case management systems, including detailed narratives and, when appropriate, filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to address fraud or compliance concerns and share investigative insights.
• Monitor and report customer and account information, identifying trends and patterns to support proactive risk management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BSA/AML regulations and industry best practices through training and professional development.
• Assist with departmental initiatives such as data analysis, testing, reporting, and threshold tuning to strengthen fraud detection efforts.

Education & Experience

Required:

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Risk, Compliance, Audit, Banking, Business, or Law Enforcement
• 1+years of experience in risk management, compliance, audit, banking, or related fields

Preferred:

• 2+ years of experience in risk, compliance, or fraud investigations
• CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) certification
