Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) - Full-Time Day Shift

Location & Hours Texas Health Denton, 3000 N I-35, Denton, TX 76201 Full-Time Days (7:00‑19:00), 3×12 hour shifts, 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday coverage required. Unit Features 12 Labor & Delivery beds 2 Operating Room suites 3 private recovery rooms 6 Antepartum rooms 4 private OB/ED beds 23 Postpartum/Newborn beds Level III NICU with 16 private beds Average of 175-200 deliveries per month Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred Registered Nurse (RN) credential upon hire Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) upon hire and quarterly maintenance Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM) within 12 months Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 90 days of hire Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRPA) within 90 days of hire Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training within 90 days of hire Minimum 1 year of RN experience or completion of an RN residency program Labor & Delivery experience preferred (1 year) Responsibilities Provide patient care using the Nursing Process: assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and infection control measures. Initiate actions to meet patient and significant others’ informational needs. Maintain continuity of patient care across shifts, hospitals, and out‑of‑hospital transfers.
