Job Details

Location: Columbia, Missouri

Contract Length: 8 Weeks

️ Start Date: November & Mid December

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

⏱️ Hours: 36 hours/week, subject to facility downstaffing

Specialty: Medical-Surgical Oncology / Neurology

️ EMR: Meditech

Floating: Required to other Medical-Surgical units

Patient Ratio: Must be willing to care for up to 8 patients when needed

Weekends: Typically at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week period

On-Call: No call requirements

Holiday Coverage: Required

✅ Requirements

Active RN license required

❤️ BLS/BCLS certification required

‍⚕️ Minimum 3 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience, preferably in Oncology and/or Neurology

Experience caring for patients with stroke, cancer, seizures, mental status changes, and post-neurosurgical conditions

Knowledge of chemotherapy-related complications, symptom management, and palliative/end-of-life care

Ability to manage IV pumps, PCA pumps, and complex patient care needs

Willingness to float to other Medical-Surgical units and care for up to 8 patients when required

Strong assessment, prioritization, and interdisciplinary communication skills
