OverviewNext 150 Construction is seeking a Construction Superintendent II. TheConstructionSuperintendent IIsupports project field operations byassistingwith the coordination of assigned trade contractors and field activities, ensuring work is performedin accordance withapproved scope, safety requirements, quality standards, and schedule expectations. This roleoperateswith limited supervision and supports daily planning, documentation, and execution activities.ResponsibilitiesThis roleassistswith safety enforcement, quality control inspections, and field coordination, and works closely with senior field leadership to support efficient, compliant, and well-organized jobsite operations.Coordinates assigned trade contractors and field activities to supportadherence to approved schedules, budgets, and work plansReviews and works in strict accordance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications for assigned scopesRemains informed of all assigned field activities and monitors work in progress to ensure compliance with approved work plans;maintainsaccuratedaily field reports, safety documentation, and records using requiredconstruction management and safety operationssystemsSupports all field safety efforts;assistswith safety orientations;conducts safetyobservations and audits;enforces safety and quality control policies within assigned scopes and escalates concerns to senior field leadershipAttends andparticipatesin project meetings asrequiredto support coordination and communicationTracks production, labor hours, and productivity metrics for assigned scopes and reports variancesSupports self-performanceoperations, workforce planning, and quantification of labor, materials, and equipment needs for assigned scopesAssistswith forecasting labor and material needs and supports cost-of-work tracking asrequired; supports material procurement, delivery coordination, and sitelogisticsactivitiesEstablishes andmaintainscredibility with Owners, trade contractors, unions, and field personnel through professional, fair, and consistent conductAssistswith onboarding and training activitiesManages daily reporting, documentation, and cost tracking infinance and construction management softwareAssistsin resolving jurisdictional disputes and field-level issues within assigned scopesImplements and supports sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives within assigned scopesQualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management3+ years’ experience leading crews of 20-25+ craft in a superintendent capacity, 5-8 years construction experienceSuperintendent experience on projects of total value $20 million - $50 million+Ability to Travel locally around the DMV area if neededOSHA 30 hour certifiedOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong technical and communication skills Strong labor relations with union and non-union engagementExcellent organizational skills Ability to work in a team environment Proficient in Microsoft Office,safety and site operations software, andconstruction management softwareKnowledge of construction-documentingand drawing, with knowledge of all phases of construction Knowledgein all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling,costcontroland forecastingAbility to create a “safety first” environment by showing a commitment to Zero Injury principles and sustainability practicesSalary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.For the Maryland this ranges from $80,000.00 - $112,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.For the Arlington, VA this ranges from $86,000.00 - $124,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.Next 150 Construction Services has an unwavering focus on safety, the environment and caring about everyone involved in our work.
