Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Provide one-on-one physical therapy services in an outpatient hospital-based therapy department serving adult patients with orthopedic, post-operative, pain management, neurological, and sports medicine diagnoses. Conduct initial assessments and establish plans of care according to departmental policies and standards. Therapists should expect 60-minute evaluations and approximately 30-minute treatment sessions, with flexibility based on patient needs. Maintain productivity expectations of approximately 80% patient care time each shift. Work within a multidisciplinary department that includes occupational and speech therapy. Black scrubs required.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Missouri prior to start of assignment.
• Minimum of 1+ years of clinical experience treating adult outpatient orthopedic, post-operative, pain management, neurological, or sports medicine patients.
• Experience providing 1:1 therapy, performing comprehensive evaluations, and developing plans of care.
• Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical records is preferred.
• Ability to meet departmental productivity expectations and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Must be willing to float to other facilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hospital-based outpatient therapy settings.
• Experience with orthopedic surgical caseloads and post-operative protocols.
• Team-player demeanor with strong communication skills.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Nights.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Weekend hours as per facility needs.
• Productivity expectation: ~80% patient care time per shift.
• All therapy is 1:1 with the therapist and patient; no double-booking or techs treating patients.
• Flu vaccination required November 1 through April 1; declinations or exceptions must be client approved.
