divh2Maintenance Technician/h2pJob Category: Maintenance/Facilities/ppFull-Time/ppOn-site/ppBuckeye, AZ 85326, USA/ph3Description/h3pJob Summary | The Maintenance Technician in the Maintenance is primarily responsible for the expert repair and maintenance of equipment and facility at Cardinal IG, a world-class glass fabricator that leads the nation in providing the highest quality insulating glass products for the residential window and door industry./ppEssential Functions |/pulliAdhere to all company policies, procedures, safety practices and guidelines/liliEnsure operation of High-Tech Glass Fabrication Equipment is working properly/liliStrong communication and interpersonal skills to build and sustain productive working relationships with various departments/liliEnsure open communication with manager and team by ensuring radio remains on while working on the plant floor/liliTransport various tools throughout the plant for use while maintaining equipment./liliOperate drill press, and other shop equipment./liliChange out barrels and drums, as needed/liliComplete preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machinery./liliUtilize diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturers instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions and complete repairs./liliResponsible for electrical repair involving motors, controls, and other equipment./liliSome parts are fabricated for repair using machine shop instruments and equipment./liliMaintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks./liliMaintain continuity among department teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing/liliInspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards./liliInvestigate equipment failures and difficulties diagnose faulty operation; provide recommendations to the Maintenance/liliConserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results/liliAbility to exercise good judgment in decision-making, ideas, and all aspects relating to the Cardinal IG team./liliAbility to modify equipment programs as needed./liliUse PLCs to troubleshoot equipment issues. May make program modifications as necessary./liliDiagnose errors or technical issues and suggest proper solutions./liliExamine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear./liliMaintain, install, repair, replace, and align equipment and components./liliAssist and oversee large maintenance projects/liliTest-run repaired machines to verify the adequacy of repairs./liliParticipate in installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications./liliPerform housekeeping tasks in the workspace to maintain a clean work area/liliAssist the team, leads, and management in achieving departmental objectives/liliAbility to work in a team environment/liliStrong organizational and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail/liliAbility to communicate effectively/liliMay be required to work overtime, different shifts, and perform additional tasks to meet company needs and deadlines/liliRequires regular in-person attendance/li/ulpWorkplace Environment |/pulliFrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and potentially sharp objects/liliNoise levels can be high and will vary based on the location in the plant/li/ulpQualifications |/pulliMust be 18 years or older/liliStrong mechanical and electrical knowledge/liliAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment/liliAbility to read and follow electrical and mechanical schematics/liliMinimum of 3 + years of experience in Maintenance working on high-tech automated equipment required/liliIndustrial maintenance experience, robotics and automation systems required/liliPLC experience preferred/liliExperience working with tools and mechanical equipment required/liliElectrical experience required/li/ulpPhysical Demands | Vision Hearing Continuously stand/walk for extended time Occasionally bend to floor/reach to 83 inches Occasionally lift/carry up to 38lbs Occasionally lift up to 100lbs Occasionally push/Pull up to 35lbs Occasionally push up to 82lbs Occasionally pull up to 16lbs Occasionally grip up to 70lbs Occasionally pinch up to 12lbs Occasionally climb a flight of stairs Frequent use of hand coordination (fine/gross motor)/ppShift Pay |/ppShift: 3rd Shift/ppSunday - Thursday 10:30 pm - 7:00 am/ppPay: Depending on work experience, starting at $25 plus $2.00 shift differential/ppBonus - Potential Monthly Profit Sharing/ppCardinal Glass is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, inclusion, and connectedness.
