Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex, high-value projects from initial planning through to completion. You will take overall responsibility for project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that outcomes are delivered in line with strategic objectives and agreed governance standards. This is an influential role requiring strong commercial awareness, sound judgement and the ability to operate confidently across a varied project environment.

Your responsibilities will include developing detailed project plans, establishing milestones and performance measures, managing budgets and resources, and maintaining accurate reporting for senior stakeholders. You will lead multidisciplinary project teams, coordinate internal and external partners, and ensure that roles, responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood. You will identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and change requests, escalating matters appropriately and implementing effective mitigation plans. You will also oversee procurement and supplier performance where required, promote continuous improvement, and ensure that projects comply with relevant legislation, policies, quality standards and health and safety requirements.

Applicants should have substantial experience managing complex projects, ideally within a structured or regulated environment, with a proven record of delivering successful outcomes on time and within budget. A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, APM or an equivalent methodology, is desirable. You will need excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and organisational skills, together with the ability to analyse information, solve problems and make informed decisions under pressure. Experience of project management tools, financial control, risk management and formal governance processes is essential. Above all, you will be collaborative, proactive and committed to achieving high standards while building effective relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders at all levels.
