About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for Hospital Services to join its dynamic and growing organization. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader, responsible for leading and implementing legal strategies for system-wide hospital operations. This role involves partnering with leaders across various areas, including hospital operations, revenue cycle, care management, health information management, and more. The Assistant General Counsel will be the lead counsel on a range of legal matters, from hospital operations and patient care to regulatory issues and governmental investigations. The position requires a high level of integrity, the ability to create clarity in complex situations, and a commitment to accountability. Applicants must have full technical proficiency in representing hospital management and counseling senior leadership on hospital operations and physician relationships. Experience in leading strategic, complex projects, and a proven track record in innovating legal concepts related to hospital operations are essential. The role demands outstanding analytical, negotiating, and drafting abilities, as well as excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, including Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, HIPAA, and fraud and abuse regulations. The Assistant General Counsel will also be expected to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently in a high-performing environment.
