Regional Head of Financial Institution Sales – US & LATAM

Mason Alexander are partnering with an international financial services and payments business that is building a new global institutional sales function.

\n

\n

The business is seeking a senior commercial leader to build its Financial Institution sales and strategic partnership presence across the United States, with a particular opportunity around US-LATAM payment corridors.

\n

\n

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a highly autonomous and hands-on position. The successful candidate will bring an established network and a proven ability to originate, structure and close major partnerships across banking, payments, fintech, treasury services and cross-border payments.

\n

\n

This is not a high-volume sales-management or lead-generation role. The focus will be on securing a small number of significant, long-term partnerships capable of generating meaningful payment volume and revenue.

\n

\n

Key responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Own the full commercial lifecycle, from relationship origination through negotiation, implementation and revenue generation
\n
• Establish and develop the organisation’s institutional presence across the US and relevant LATAM corridors
\n
• Build senior relationships across banks, payment processors, fintechs, neobanks, FX providers and treasury-services businesses
\n
• Present cross-border payments, FX and payment infrastructure solutions to C-suite stakeholders
\n
• Lead complex commercial negotiations and develop tailored partnership structures
\n
• Work with Product, Risk, Compliance and Finance to bring commercially and regulatorily sound solutions to market
\n
• Take ownership of regional revenue, payment-volume and partnership-development targets
\n
• Identify opportunities involving digital asset or stablecoin-enabled payment infrastructure where relevant
\n

\n

The successful candidate will likely have:

\n

\n
• Significant senior-level experience in Financial Institution sales, payments, fintech, banking, treasury services or strategic partnerships
\n
• A strong and demonstrable network across the US banking, payments or fintech market
\n
• A track record of personally originating and closing large, complex, revenue-generating partnerships
\n
• Strong understanding of cross-border payments, FX, treasury services or payment infrastructure
\n
• The ability to operate independently and establish a regional commercial presence
\n
• Spanish-language capability and an established LATAM network would be highly advantageous
\n
• Exposure to stablecoins or digital assets would be beneficial but is not essential
\n

This is initially a senior individual-contributor position, offering significant autonomy and direct exposure to the CEO. The package will include a substantial performance-related commission or incentive opportunity.
