Deburrer (Aluminum) - 2nd Shift

Connect Staffing is hiring a Deburrer (Aluminum) for an aluminum forgings manufacturing facility in Santa Ana, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $19.50 - on a 2nd shift schedule with weekly overtime. In this role, you will use deburring, sanding, and grinding tools to remove forging flash and excess metal from manufactured aluminum parts. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM-2:00 AM; Fridays 1:30 PM-10:00 PM; Saturdays as needed

Overtime: Weekly OT required (~8 hrs/wk)

Responsibilities

• Use deburring, sanding, and grinding tools to remove forging flash and excess metal from aluminum parts to customer specifications.
• Inspect forged parts for surface defects and ensure they meet quality standards before passing them forward.
• Keep an accurate count of completed parts and work pieces throughout the shift.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation in line with lean manufacturing practices.
• Report damaged or faulty equipment and any facility issues to a supervisor.
• Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times in the work area.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ months of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Basic math and measuring skills sufficient to read job travelers and verify part counts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deburring, grinding, or finishing metal parts in a production setting.
• Familiarity with aluminum, forged metal, or precision machined components.
• Ability to read and follow work orders or customer specification sheets.
• Experience working in a high-volume, production-paced manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or organized shop floor practices.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or fabrication environment.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools such as grinders, sanders, or deburring tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and verbal).

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Must be able to work at a fast pace in a very hot metal and machine shop environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently an up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
• Drug screen required.
• Background check required.
• E-Verify / work authorization required.
• Must be a US Citizen or US Person - this position requires compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
• Must communicate effectively in English.
