Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is seeking a full-time Medical Director in Seattle, Washington. This is an opportunity to lead a well-established companion animal hospital, guiding a dedicated team while maintaining the highest standards of veterinary care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The full-time Medical Director schedule will be arranged within these hours, with no after-hours emergency responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will oversee medical protocols and ensure clinical excellence while providing patient care for canine and feline patients. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring associate veterinarians, fostering a collaborative team culture, and contributing to the strategic direction of the hospital. Clinical duties include wellness exams, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and client education, performed with a focus on personalized and compassionate care.

Practice Details and Team
The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities including digital radiography, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. The culture emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, and professional growth, with a strong support staff ensuring veterinarians can focus on patient care and leadership responsibilities. Leadership training and development opportunities are also available to support the success of the Medical Director.

Team Size
The hospital currently has a team of two veterinarians supported by twelve experienced technicians and support staff, working together in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so

Hours: Full Time
