Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Special Education (must be submitted as a PDF with your application)
• Previous experience teaching or supporting K-5 students with diverse learning needs
• Strong understanding of IEP goals, documentation, and compliance
• Ability to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, support staff, and administration

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored resource and instructional support to K-5 students at Columbus Elementary
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to deliver accommodations and modifications
• Communicate student progress with families and team members
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence
• Maintain accurate records and case management for a full-time caseload

This is a full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week position with a school year schedule, beginning late August 2026 and continuing through early June 2027. You’ll enjoy the chance to work alongside passionate educators, gaining valuable experience in an inclusive school community.
