Direct Support Professional I - Respite

Rate of Pay $19.00 per hour New Hire Sign-Off Bonus Up to $1,000 Role Overview The Respite worker provides families of children with special health care needs relief by delivering one‑to‑one direct care for their child within or outside the home, implementing a safety and service plan. Duties vary depending on each child’s needs. Parents or caretakers provide all specific training. Seven Hills offers opportunities for direct care providers ranging from college students to stay‑at‑home parents, paraprofessionals, and teachers seeking part‑time roles. Responsibilities Provide ON CALL safe one‑to‑one direct care per the plan for children with special health care needs as directed by parents/caretakers. Provide socialization opportunities within the home and/or outside the home when appropriate. Perform all necessary self‑care tasks as needed by the individual supported. Provide transportation to and from all social activities only as approved by parent/caretaker. Provide required documentation to the coordinator in a timely manner.
