Jersey Dosa Food Truck is looking for an experienced and reliable chef to join our team. We are looking for someone who has experience preparing South Indian and Indo-Chinese food and can work efficiently in a busy food-truck environment. Responsibilities Prepare Dosa, Idli, Uttapam, Punugulu and other South Indian dishes Prepare Fried Rice, Noodles, Manchurian and Indo-Chinese dishes Prepare chutneys, sambar, batters and other daily items Maintain consistent taste, quality and portion size Handle food preparation and service during busy hours Maintain a clean and organized kitchen Follow proper food safety and hygiene standards Monitor ingredients and inform management when supplies are running low Work closely with other food-truck staff Requirements Previous restaurant, food truck, or commercial kitchen experience preferred South Indian cooking experience strongly preferred Dosa-making experience is a big advantage Able to work quickly during busy hours Reliable, punctual and responsible Must maintain excellent cleanliness and food-handling practices Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Compensation Good pay based on experience.
