We are excited to bring a high-quality, community-driven fitness experience to Whitehouse Station, NJ. Position Summary As the Personal Training Manager, you will play a key role in building and energizing our training program. This position blends leadership, coaching, and sales, requiring someone who can mentor staff, deliver exceptional training experiences, and help drive early momentum as we enterpresale, carrying that energy forward through opening and into long-term growth. Beyond coaching, you will help build a strong, connected fitness community. You will be visible on the floor, engaged with members, active on our gym’s social media, and involved in local events that bring energy and fun to our club. This role requires someone personable, confident, comfortable with social media, initiating conversations, building relationships, and creating positive experiences that extend beyond a single workout. Success in this position requires initiative, accountability, strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and a genuine passion for helping others improve their lives. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, results-driven, comfortable balancing training and sales responsibilities, and excited to contribute to something meaningful within the community. Compensation & Benefits Estimated first-year earnings generally range from $45,000 to $75,000 based on experience and performance, with uncapped upside tied to personal training revenue share and sales results. Key Responsibilities Program Development & Leadership Lead development and execution of personal training and group training programs. Shape the direction of the fitness program during presale and early operations. Mentor and develop trainers to deliver exceptional member experiences. Establish standards for coaching, programming, and accountability. Presale & Sales Leadership Support and drive presale membership efforts. Conduct consultations with prospective members and convert leads into personal and group training clients. Contribute to membership growth through outreach and relationship building. Track key performance metrics related to training revenue and retention. Marketing & Social Media Engagement Actively promote and market personal training and group programs to acquire and retain members. Manage and contribute to social media engagement, including creating content, highlighting member success stories, and promoting events. Create content for social media, including self‑recorded videos, posts, reels, etc. Leverage digital engagement as a tool to drive awareness, leads, and community growth. Community Engagement Lead and contribute to community events, workshops, and fitness challenges. Represent the gym at local events and build partnerships within the community. Foster an inclusive and motivating club culture. Member Experience Conduct fitness assessments and goal‑setting sessions. Maintain strong relationships with members to improve retention and satisfaction. Lead group training sessions and deliver one‑on‑one coaching. Provide recovery sessions focused on mobility and performance. Offer practical nutrition guidance to support member goals. Ensure a high standard of professionalism, cleanliness, and energy on the fitness floor. Qualifications Required Current nationally recognized Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, NSCA, or equivalent). Proven experience in personal training and/or group training. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience managing and engaging with social media. Passion for community building and leadership. Preferred Three fitness certifications, including a Certified Personal Training certificate from accrediting bodies such as NASM, NSCA, ACSM, WITS, AFFA, ACE, ISSA, or a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
