About the Role

Tice Valley Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the nutritional health and overall well-being of our residents through individualized dietary planning, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resident-focused, and passionate about improving quality of life through proper nutrition and clinical dietary care.

Key Responsibilities

Nutritional Assessment & Care Planning

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
• Evaluate residents' dietary needs based on medical conditions, preferences, and physician orders

Clinical Collaboration

• Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, speech therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to support resident health outcomes
• Participate in care conferences and provide nutrition recommendations

Dietary Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility dietary standards

Resident & Family Support

• Educate residents and families on therapeutic diets and nutritional needs
• Address dietary concerns with professionalism and compassion

Food Service Oversight

• Collaborate with dietary and kitchen staff to ensure menu accuracy, nutritional adequacy, and resident satisfaction
• Monitor food service practices for quality and safety standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required
• Licensed in the state of California preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, or long-term care preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
