Field Service Technician – Industrial Equipment & ControlsDayton, OH | Full-Time | $80,000–$90,000Are you an experienced Field Service Technician who enjoys solving complex equipment problems and working directly with customers?We are seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and support custom industrial equipment at customer facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong electrical and mechanical background who enjoys diagnosing problems, working independently, and seeing different equipment and applications.This is not a routine parts-replacement position. We are looking for a technician who can read schematics, troubleshoot industrial controls, identify the root cause of equipment problems, and get machinery back into operation.What You'll DoTravel to customer facilities to troubleshoot, repair, and service industrial equipmentDiagnose electrical, controls, and mechanical problemsTroubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and industrial automation systemsRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawingsTroubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, relays, switches, and other industrial componentsPerform equipment startup, installation, testing, and commissioningIdentify root causes of equipment failures and determine appropriate repairsMake electrical and mechanical adjustments or repairs in the fieldWork with engineering and internal technical teams to resolve complex equipment issuesCommunicate professionally with customers regarding equipment problems, repairs, and recommendationsDocument service work and maintain accurate service recordsFollow proper electrical and industrial safety procedures while working at customer locationsWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience as a Field Service Technician, Controls Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Automation Technician, Electrical Technician, or similarStrong industrial electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience working with PLC-controlled equipmentAbility to read and troubleshoot from electrical schematicsUnderstanding of industrial electrical and control systemsStrong mechanical troubleshooting abilityExperience using electrical testing equipment such as multimetersAbility to troubleshoot equipment independently in the fieldStrong communication and customer service skillsComfortable traveling to customer facilities as requiredValid driver's licensePreferred ExperienceAllen-Bradley PLC experienceSiemens or Mitsubishi PLC experienceIndustrial automation or custom machineryVFDs, motors, sensors, and industrial controlsEquipment installation and commissioning480V industrial electrical systemsExperience working directly with engineering or controls teamsWhat Makes Someone Successful HereThe strongest person for this position isn't necessarily someone who knows every piece of equipment on day one.We're looking for someone who understands how industrial equipment works and how to troubleshoot it systematically.You should be comfortable looking at a machine you've never seen before, reviewing the prints, talking with the customer, checking the electrical and mechanical systems, and working through the problem until you identify the cause.Compensation & Benefits$80,000–$90,000, based on experienceFull-time positionCompetitive benefits packageStable, growing industrial organizationOpportunity to work with a variety of custom equipment and technologiesLong-term career opportunity with an experienced engineering and manufacturing teamApply today with your current resume for consideration.
