Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Schedule: 36 hours weekly, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM or 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, with weekend rotations. Patient ratio 1:3. No on-call requirement.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a busy Emergency Department with 7 beds and daily census of 27
• Treat diverse patient populations including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work with robust interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
• Comprehensive 48-hour orientation to ensure success
• Electronic medical records via CERNER
• Up to two pre-approved time-off periods available

Requirements:

• Active RN License (West Virginia state license or Compact license required)
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all through American Heart Association)
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Demonstrated expertise in rapid assessment, triage, trauma management, advanced life support, IV access, and emergency interventions
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Must maintain permanent residence at least 100 miles from facility (candidates 75-100 miles considered case-by-case)
• Minimum of 2 Manager or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
