Slitter Operator (Warehouse) 2nd Shift

Job Title: Slitter Operator Location: Cleveland, OH 44128 Shift: 2nd Schedule / Full‐Time: Monday–Thursday Hours: 2:15 PM – 12:45 AM Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required based on production needs Classification: Non‑Exempt Work Location: On‑Site We are seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will work alongside a small, collaborative team to operate and troubleshoot slitting equipment while ensuring products meet quality and customer specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in steel processing, slitting operations, or manufacturing environments who enjoy hands‑on work and take pride in producing quality results. What You’ll Do Operate and assist with the setup and operation of the slitting line Work as part of a 3‑4 person team to safely and efficiently complete production orders Read and interpret work instructions, setup sheets, and production specifications Use basic math skills to calculate measurements and verify order requirements Measure and inspect materials using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers Monitor product quality and ensure all specifications and tolerances are met Troubleshoot equipment and production issues as neededMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Complete housekeeping tasks and support continuous improvement initiatives Cross‑train on Pack Line and Rewinder operations as business needs require Work overtime when needed to support production demands Minimum Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company systems Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic arithmetic calculations Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards Preferred Qualifications One or more years of slitting or cut‑to‑length (CTL) experience Experience working with steel or similar materials Forklift experience Overhead crane experience Experience using micrometers and calipers for quality inspections Experience with manufacturing information systems, scanners, or related technology To maintain a safe and productive work environment, personal cell phone use is prohibited during working hours.
