This unique role combines senior-level business analysis and project management responsibilities to deliver not only successful project execution, but also client confidence throughout every stage of the engagement and beyond.

The Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager is focused on enabling client stakeholders to confidently rely on a partner who can translate business needs into technical requirements and drive technical implementations that enable business users to adopt solutions and achieve intended business outcomes.

This position requires advanced business analysis and project management capabilities, strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively through verbal, written, numerical, and visual methods. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a desire to continuously develop a diverse operational and technical skill set.
Key Responsibilities

• Business Analysis and Solution Definition: Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across complex initiatives. Facilitate advanced discovery sessions to identify business objectives and opportunities. Translate business needs into structured requirements, user stories, and process models.
• Process Design and Requirements Management: Lead current-state and future-state process design and solution definition. Manage requirements scope, traceability, prioritization, and change control.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Alignment: Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams at all levels, both internal and client-facing, from individual contributors through executive leadership. Facilitate decision-making forums and stakeholder alignment on solution direction.
• Business Value and Acceptance: Define and track business value metrics, KPIs, benefits, and acceptance criteria. Lead user acceptance testing strategy, readiness, execution, and issue resolution.
• Continuous Improvement and Mentorship: Identify opportunities for process, service, or product innovation. Mentor junior analysts and contribute to business analysis capability development.
• Project Planning and Delivery Management: Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, RAID logs, and status reporting. Manage project scope, schedule, risks, issues, and changes using standard project management practices.
• Pre-Sales and Solution Planning: Support pre-sales discovery, scope definition, solution shaping, and effort estimation. Support project estimation, resource planning, roadmap development, and delivery forecasting.
• Project Governance and Client Communication: Lead routine project governance, status meetings, escalations, and client communications. Coordinate project activities, dependencies, resources, and stakeholder commitments.
• Financial Management: Support project budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and financial performance tracking.

• Ability to lead independently, manage ambiguity, and mentor others.
• Proficiency with business analysis, process analysis, and project management tools.
• Proficiency with predictive, Agile, hybrid, and Lean delivery methodologies.
• Experience with project management, requirements management, collaboration, and process-modeling tools.
• Ability to effectively coordinate and influence project teams and stakeholders without direct supervisory authority.

Experience and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-12+ years of business analysis experience, including project delivery responsibilities within the energy and/or manufacturing industries.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional technology or transformation initiatives.
• Experience with ERP, MES, and other enterprise systems.
• Experience supporting project planning, governance, resource planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance tracking.
• Experience leading user acceptance testing, requirements management, and stakeholder alignment activities.
• CBAP or PMI-PBA certification preferred.
• PMP, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma certification is beneficial.
• Ability to travel approximately 20%-50%, depending on client engagement requirements.
• Ability to work in a combination of on-site and remote environments.
• This position has no direct supervisory responsibility but includes project coordination, mentorship, and influence across teams.
