Tool & Die Technician 2nd Shift

Job Details: Job Location: Legal Address - Austin, IN 47102. Position Type: Full Time. Salary Range: $25.00 - $36.00. Job Shift: 2nd. Job Category: Tooling. Responsibilities Correct and improve tooling, jigs and fixtures for which responsibility is assigned. Develop, construct, and alter a wide variety of jigs, fixtures, and gauges. Perform assignments ranging from ordinary tool room operations to work involving accurate relationships and extremely close tolerances. Reconstruct, repair and select proper materials. Make allowances for shrinkage during heat‑treating of tools and metal flows in dies. Identify and correct problems in complicated dies and tools. Accountable to Tool & Die Team Leader Tool & Die Asst. Mgr Tooling Mgr Qualifications Certificate in Progressive Die & Design from an industry accredited program. Three (3) to Five (5) years of professional experience in tool and die and machining in the related field. Experience in tool and die welding. Leadership Ensure compliance with all safety procedures. Assist with associate skill development if assigned by Coordinator. Model and mentor proper process procedures and die or tool problem solving. Service Help train associates in tooling and machining operations. Assist with die or tool repair planning. Complete all tool work orders and other documentation as required. Maintain continuous improvement of all assigned tooling. Support ISO-9001 requirements. Assist in maintaining professional communications within team and other facility teams. Operations Confirm accuracy in die usage for production operation. Monitor product quality. Manage die maintenance area documentation. Manage ordering of all die maintenance supplies, replacement die parts, and maintain stock. Actively maintain 5S organization throughout the tool shop.
