Location: Fully Remote, Philippines and Romania

Rate: $4.00- $10.00 per hour based on experience

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented 3D LiDAR Annotation & Quality Assurance Specialist to review and validate algorithm-generated annotations within a standalone 3D application.

This role involves navigating through a game-like 3D environment representing real-world locations and reviewing telephone poles, utility lines, and related infrastructure identified by an algorithm. You will determine whether detections are accurate and add, remove, or correct annotations when necessary.

Requirements:

4. Comfort following a structured process and applying QA/annotation guidelines consistently

7. Strong basic computer skills
8. Ability to learn new software quickly
9. Must be able to clearly understand and explain the nature of the work, including navigating a 3D environment and identifying, correcting, adding, and removing telephone pole and utility-line annotations.

Preferences:

1. Previous 3D environment, gaming, simulation, or virtual-world experience
2. Experience with first-person or free-fly camera navigation
3. Quality Assurance (QA), testing, or data validation experience
4. Experience with data annotation, mapping, GIS, geospatial data, or similar workflows
5. Experience with Unity, 3D viewers, simulation software, or comparable applications
6. Previous experience performing repetitive, detail-heavy computer work where both speed and accuracy are important.

Responsibilities:

1. Navigate through a 3D LiDAR environment representing real-world roads, properties, vehicles, utility infrastructure, and surrounding environments.
2. Review algorithm-generated detections of telephone poles, utility lines, and related infrastructure.
3. Identify objects that have been incorrectly detected, missed, or incorrectly classified by the algorithm.
4. Add missing objects when they are present in the environment but were not detected.
5. Delete or correct false-positive detections when the algorithm incorrectly identifies objects.
6. Adjust annotations as needed to ensure labeled objects accurately correspond to the underlying LiDAR data.
7. Follow established annotation and QA guidelines consistently and accurately.
8. Maintain strong productivity and accuracy throughout extended review sessions.
9. Identify and communicate recurring issues, anomalies, or unusual cases to the internal team when necessary.

Successful candidates for this role will be rewarded with the following benefits:

1. A total of five paid vacation days per year (additional days can be taken unpaid).
2. A 5% raise per year guaranteed (additional raises or bonuses may be given for outstanding performance).
3. A paid 15-minute break for every 4 hours of work
4. Healthcare benefits after 2 months of full-time work for PH candidates.

* Vacation days increase by 1 vacation day per year. I.e. after one year of employment, the total paid vacation days on year 2 would be six, on year 3 seven, etc.
