The Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is a trauma‑informed agency focused on providing supportive services to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring health and safety while fostering community participation. Accountability – Professional conduct and responsible management of public funds. Job Duties Supervise direct services personnel, including performance evaluations and leave approvals. Serve as backup supervisor for cottages when QIDP or RCS1 is absent. Assign personnel and job duties to meet workload, ensuring adequate staffing and supplies. Conduct business within laws, rules, standards, and contracts; maintain safety, cleanliness, and a calm environment. Train and orient new staff; provide coaching, corrective action, and ongoing development. Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to implement IPPs and monitor resident outcomes. Perform safety inspections, fire drills, emergency response, and equipment maintenance. Maintain accurate incident reports (e.g., injury, BWC, property damage) and assist in certification processes. Qualifications Minimum 24 months of training or experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental or mental disabilities. Knowledge of I.C.F.M. R. standards of resident care. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to conduct safety inspections, incident investigations, and training sessions. Eligibility for state benefits (if applicable). UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: May be exposed to residents with maladjustment or violence; may require weekend, evening, or off‑ground location work.
