Registered Nurse - Labor and DeliveryWe are seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Labor and Delivery team. This position requires proficiency in patient care, with a focus on delivering high-quality nursing services to mothers and newborns.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive care to patients experiencing labor and preterm labor.Utilize skills in circulating and scrubbing for OB-GYN and various surgical procedures.Administer blood products and utilize specific equipment such as epidural and PCA pumps.Attend all deliveries, including high-risk cases and GYN surgeries.Ensure effective communication and collaboration with healthcare team members.Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout all stages of care.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.Welcoming first-time travelers.Must have experience with Epic electronic health records.Valid certifications are required: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and ACLS (preferred).Patient Care FocusManage low-risk antepartum and labor/delivery situations.Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs during labor.Administer medications including heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate.Utilize specialty techniques such as cardioversion/defibrillation and application of cooling/warming blankets.Staffing Ratios and Float RequirementsStaffing ratio of 1:1-3 for patient care.Floating to postpartum and occasionally to labor and delivery may be required.Work ScheduleThis position is for night shifts, comprising four 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30).
