Reservoir Engineer

Job Description:Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Reservoir Engineer reporting to the Reservoir Engineering Manager in Midland, Texas. This position will be responsible for providing reservoir engineering support for a variety of projects (as detailed below). The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on a multi-disciplinary team. There is flexibility with the level and title of this role depending on the candidate’s skillset, qualifications and capabilities.General ResponsibilitiesWork with multidisciplinary team to generate and execute a development plan that maximizes the value of PR’s Delaware Basin AssetsProvide reservoir engineering support and guidance on multidisciplinary field/well studies with a specific focus on economic analysis supported by rate transient analysis, decline curve analysis, material balance, volumetrics, etc.Analyze lateral and vertical well spacing across all fields to determine optimal spacing within each target horizonCollaborate with team to analyze completion and production practices that optimize value across acreage positionAnalyze reservoir fluids and monitor production performance to generate accurate production forecasts for all wellsSupport Reserves Manager in analysis of quarterly and year-end reserves updates.Analyze reserves and value of potential acquisitions, divestitures, and trades and integrate with multidisciplinary team to execute on A&D strategyWork with Finance team to maintain long term budget forecast and update type curve, PDP, and expense forecasts regularlyOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBS in Engineering3+ years of oil and gas engineering experience with a training program completeProficiency in ComboCurve, Excel, Spotfire and Microsoft OfficeMust have relevant reservoir engineering experience with unconventional resource playsMust be self-motivated and capable of independently integrating within multi-disciplinary teamsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organizationPreferred QualificationsOperations experience (production, completions, drilling, etc.)1+ years of reservoir engineering experienceWorking knowledge RTA (Whitson+ or equivalent).Experience working the Delaware BasinPermian Resource is an equal opportunity employer.
