Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Tax Services Manager to join our team in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. This role will manage tax compliance, planning, consulting, client relationships, and tax return processes for a diverse portfolio of clients.

The ideal candidate will come from a public accounting environment and have strong, broad-based tax experience, particularly with S-Corporations and Partnerships . Experience with individual taxation is a plus, and real estate tax experience is highly desirable .

We are looking for a well-rounded tax generalist , rather than someone whose background is primarily focused on corporate tax or financial services tax.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tax returns, workpapers, and tax projections for accuracy and completeness.

• Provide tax compliance, consulting, and planning services to clients.

• Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted tax advisor.

• Oversee the preparation and completion of tax returns.

• Perform tax research and resolve complex tax issues.

• Monitor changes in federal and state tax laws and regulations.

• Support business development and client retention efforts.

• Mentor, train, and develop tax staff.

• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide technical guidance.

• Manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and priorities.

• Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional tax experience in public accounting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field .

• Strong knowledge and experience with:

  • S-Corporations

  • Partnerships

  • Business taxation

  • Tax compliance and planning

• Strong tax research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.

• Experience reviewing tax returns and workpapers.

• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.

• Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, CA .

• Demonstrated stable and consistent employment history .

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification preferred.

• Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.

• Real estate tax experience strongly preferred.

• Individual taxation experience is a plus.

• Experience working with privately held businesses and their owners.

• Experience providing tax advisory and consulting services.
