Shuttle Driver Associate

Job Summary: The Driver position is a safety‑sensitive role that requires a high degree of responsibility transporting staff, patients, and visitors in a safe, timely, and professional manner. The driver must be able to operate the vehicle in all weather and driving conditions with multiple distractions. Drivers are required to perform vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and cleaning duties, and to monitor parking areas and grounds for potential security issues. Essential Functions Provide transportation for employees, guests, and community groups to and from various locations. Perform limited maintenance and care of department vehicles and equipment. Notify supervisor of anticipated repair needs as appropriate. Use the radio to communicate with dispatch and other shuttle drivers while on route. Monitor parking area and grounds for suspicious activity or hazards and report them to the appropriate department. Ensure appropriate documentation is completed accurately and timely in accordance with regulations and department policy. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 21 years of age; 25 years of age for Valet. Excellent driving record. LIC‑Chauffeur License – State MI. 30 Days CRT‑Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA not required for Spectrum Health Lakeland. 90 Days CRT‑Basic Life Support (BLS) – ARC not required for Spectrum Health Lakeland. Preferred: 6 months of relevant experience.
