House Supervisor RN

Manage staffing and bed assignments. Work with charge nurses to coordinate care. Respond to patient complaints and staffing situations. Contact administration when indicated. Call in catheterization and operating room teams during off hours. Provide coverage for the entire hospital. Common diagnoses and types of patients depend on each unit. Shifts provide 24/7 coverage, with all scheduled shifts being 8 hours. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Work into permanent staff rotation for holiday scheduling. Scrub color is navy. Additional staffing support includes an in-house hospitalist or intensivist available 24/7. Additional support from an IV team during the day, respiratory therapy 24/7, and pharmacy 24/7 is available. Floor-specific orientation consists of 2-3 shifts. Cancellation policy allows for canceling up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
