CT Technologist

The CT Technologist is responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and ensuring patient safety at a healthcare facility. They perform CT procedures independently, adhering to department guidelines, and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic accuracy while minimizing radiation exposure. Key duties include preparing patients, explaining procedures using AIDET, obtaining clinical histories, administering contrast, positioning patients, reviewing images, and documenting results accurately in RIS/PACS systems. They must monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and support infection control and equipment maintenance. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least one year of radiology experience, and certifications such as ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS. Skills required are technical proficiency, excellent communication, attention to detail, patient care, and teamwork.
