About This Unit

Our 48-bed Ortho/Neuro/Trauma unit cares for patients recovering from joint replacements spinal surgeries fractures stroke and traumatic injuries. As a Stroke and Trauma Certified unit we invest in ongoing specialty education to ensure the highest quality care.

Our multidisciplinary team includes nurses nursing assistants therapists case managers and orthopedic care coordinators who work together in a collaborative patient-centered environment.

Who Were Looking For

Were seeking a motivated nurse leader who is passionate about developing teams delivering exceptional patient care and driving clinical excellence.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong clinical experience in Med Surg Ortho Neuro Trauma or Progressive Care
• Previous leadership experience as a Charge Nurse Preceptor or Assistant Nurse Manager
• A collaborative leadership style with strong coaching and communication skills
• A commitment to quality patient safety and team member engagement

As an Assistant Nurse Manager youll partner with the Nurse Manager to lead daily operations support team development and help shape a culture where patients and team members thrive.

Scope of work

Under the direction of the nurse manager or other nursing leader the assistant nurse manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy goals policies and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
• Two years of clinical experience Required.
• Participation in leadership activities (Unit hospital or system Shared Governance meetings Precepting Charge nurse role) Preferred.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
