Job Description

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist specializes in performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, to assist healthcare providers in diagnosis and treatment. The role involves operating radiology equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform radiographic examinations as requested by healthcare providers, adhering to safety protocols.
• Operate fluoroscopic, portable, and C-Arm imaging equipment in various clinical settings including OR, Trauma, NICU, CCU, and ED.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis alongside radiology providers.
• Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care and prepare them for radiology exams.
• Document procedures accurately for interpretation, reporting, and archiving, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with radiology nursing staff during fluoroscopically guided PICC placements and assist in maintaining equipment and supplies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent.
• Maintain Montana Radiology Technologist licensure and ARRT certification (R.T.(R)).
• Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Possess at least one year of radiology experience, including clinical internships.
• Demonstrate proficiency in advanced imaging techniques, including fluoroscopic/C-Arm, within six months.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and excellent communication skills in a busy healthcare environment.
