With 15 distribution centers strategically located throughout the nation, HF Foods Group aims to supply the increasing demand for Asian American restaurant cuisine.**PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:**The Buyer will research and purchase products for the distribution center.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Oversees and maintains current inventory.* Researches, analyzes, and forecasts current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products, with attention to specified target market and demographics.* Develops and maintains relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.* Negotiates contracts with wholesalers and suppliers.* Assesses financial risks of purchases.* Research, browse the new products and trends to identify the potential business opportunities.* Be acting as a quality assurance professional by inspecting the quality of products upon arrival as needed.* Coordinate with the accounting department for the payment of invoices.* Performs other related duties as assigned.**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:*** Excellent MUST be bilingual in English and Chinese.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.* Efficient typing skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and legal aspects of purchasing.* Ability to compile information and make decisions.* Ability to work under pressure.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.**EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:*** At least one year of buyer experience preferred.* Hight school diploma or above education is required.**WORK CONDITIONS:**(The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
