We’re searching for a diligent dental assistant who is willing to show up for work on time every day and ready to support our pediatric dental office. You’ll be responsible for creating a positive dental experience for our patients. You'll help with hygiene, examinations, and procedures, obtain dental records, schedule appointments, and ensure our patients leave our practice with a smile. Applicants should be extremely thorough, possess excellent communication skills, and have a knack for customer service. Previous dental assisting experience is required. $20 - $25 hourly

• Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments and ensure each patient's mouth is comfortable, dry, and accessible to the dentist
• Inform patients about proper oral health care to prevent infections after dental procedures
• Help with administrative duties such as welcoming patients, taking phone calls, making appointments for dental visits, ordering supplies, and handling billing
• Write down treatment information after every visit and ensure patient records include current dental histories
• Walk patients through a good oral health care regime so they can maintain a healthy smile

What You'll Do

• Greet our little patients (and their grown-ups) with warmth and make them feel safe from the second they sit in the chair

• Assist Dr. Vosatek chairside during exams, cleanings, fillings, and other pediatric procedures — anticipating needs and keeping things moving smoothly

• Use "tell-show-do" and other kid-friendly techniques to explain treatment in a way that's fun, not scary

• Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos

• Set up and break down operatories, sterilize instruments, and follow all infection-control protocols

• Keep accurate patient records and chart notes

• Manage inventory and help keep our supplies stocked and ready

• Coach parents on brushing, diet, and home care so those healthy habits stick

• Pitch in wherever the team needs you — we all wear a few hats around here

• Have the ability to give patients exceptional care and service
• Able to perform basic computer and data entry tasks
• Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills
• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental assistance program required

What We're Looking For

• 1–2 years of chairside dental assisting experience (pediatric experience is a big plus, but we're happy to help you grow into it)

• A genuine love for working with children and families

• Patience, energy, and a good sense of humor

• Reliability, a team-first attitude, and great communication. Willing and able to show up on time and ready to work when scheduled.

• Comfort with digital charting and dental software (Eagle Soft is a bonus)
