Job ID: 26015136Posted: 2026-10-19Location: New York, NY, United StatesSalary: $78000 - $124750 annually + bonus + benefitsJob Function: Project ManagementSchedule: Full timeWorkplace: HybridCareer Area: MarketingCompany: American ExpressDescriptionThe Sr. Analyst - Non-Optimized Investment Management is responsible for managing and operationalizing the US Consumer Services marketing budget, supporting teams within US Consumer Card, Travel & Lifestyle Services, Global Dining, Banking, Amex Offers & Digital Media, and ECMX. This position will develop a broad perspective of US Consumer Services, working cross-functionally with Finance, Controllership, USCS Business Leads. ResponsibilitiesFunction as the reporting and budget management lead for USCS Non-Optimized Advertising & Promotion (A&P) investments.Own the end-to-end reporting suite for USCS Non-Optimized marketing investments. Manage the day-to-day budget operations for 100+ Budget Lines across US Consumer Services.Manage transfers/reductions/increases for A&P Budget Lines, in close partnership with Finance, Controllership, and Business Leads.Own and drive enhancements to centralized budget management processes within USCS.Lead year-end accrual process for A&P Budget Lines.Lead quarterly budget management training to USCS colleagues.Own monthly MR/CoBrand incentive mapping process in partnership with Controllership, ensuring accurate monthly bookings of A&P incentive costs.QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred2-3+ years professional experience in strategic planning/budget management/similar field a plus.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong aptitude with MS Office Suite: Excel – formulas, pivot tables, macros. Able to work with large amounts of data from different sources to create user-friendly, digestible reporting.Experience leveraging Gen AI Tools to increase productivity and enhance processes.Highly organized, able to prioritize and proactively communicate progress, needs, issues, etc.Strong sense of responsibility – demonstrates personal excellence and consistently delivers high quality work.Excellent written and verbal communication skills– equally capable working with a peer or a senior leader.Project management skills – organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple deliverables and prioritize, communicates proactively re: progress, needs, issues, etc.Excellent relationship building skills – enjoys working as part of a larger team and fostering relationships.Eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
