EHS Supervisor

Position Overview Jabil seeks an experienced EHS Supervisor for our Auburn Hills, MI plant. This is a 1st Shift role with a pay range of $80,000–$95,000. The Supervisor will support the Engineering, Manufacturing and EHS teams to ensure a safe, accident‑free, healthy work environment that complies with all applicable local, state and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities Assist the EHS department with administration to ensure smooth operation. Develop and implement general safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and national regulations. Help develop site‑level EHS team goals and objectives. Coach, train and adjust workloads of EHS staff, providing timely performance feedback, appraisals and training plans. Plan and organize project plans for EHS‑related initiatives. Assist with staffing forecasts and discretionary spending projections. Apply knowledge of all relevant EHS regulations, standards and requirements affecting the site, including ISO 14001, OSHA, OSHAS 18001, MI‑OSHA, EPA, RBA EHS Code, etc. Conduct gap analysis and internal audits against the global EHS Policy and international standards, and develop solutions to close any identified gaps. Maintain the ISO 14001 program and manage the environmental permit portfolio. Analyze risks, develop mitigation programs, and provide expert guidance. Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Lead development of site safety programs (forklift, machine guarding, confined space entry, x‑ray equipment, accident investigation, lead awareness, respirator, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, etc.). Lead cross‑functional teams for incident investigations, facilitate root‑cause analysis (fishbone diagram, 5Y, etc.) and ensure corrective actions are recorded in the incident management system (EHSIP). Lead the hazardous waste management system, including documentation, training, labeling, handling and compliance with all laws and regulations. Lead the recycling program to identify waste‑reduction and reuse opportunities. Report greenhouse gas data through the corporate carbon disclosure system. Evaluate new chemicals to ensure current controls are adequate and seek lower‑risk alternatives. Act as the Environmental Management Representative during third‑party and customer environmental audits. Coordinate the emergency response program and develop required training. Work safely at all times and comply with all EHS standards and work practices. Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Safety or another EHS related discipline. Minimum of 4 years in an EHS capacity within a manufacturing plant or warehouse (or equivalent education and training). Minimum 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to speak and present to large groups, including customers and executives. Familiarity with OSHA and OSHA requirements. Knowledge and experience with ISO 14001. Experience with Lock‑out/Tag‑out (LOTO). Proficiency with ENEHS reporting (local OSHA requirements). Data gathering, reporting, and initial data analysis skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
