Senior Java Developer Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a team building a modern cloud-based application while supporting ongoing enterprise initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a backend-focused engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring, and AWS who enjoys designing scalable, high-performance applications. Must Haves 5+ years of professional experience in backend Java development Strong hands‑on experience with Java and the Spring Framework Proven experience developing enterprise‑level backend applications Solid knowledge of AWS Cloud services, including EC2, EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes Experience writing complex SQL queries and working with Oracle databases Working knowledge of PL/SQL for database development and optimization Experience developing, testing, and maintaining scalable cloud‑based applications Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to collaborate in an Agile environment What the Client Needs You to Do Design and develop a new cloud‑native application using Java, Spring, and AWS technologies. Support and enhance existing enterprise applications while ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality software solutions. Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives across the development team. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend services using Java and the Spring Framework. Build scalable, secure, and high‑performing cloud‑based applications. Design, write, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL code. Deploy and support applications within AWS environments using Docker, Kubernetes, EC2, and EKS. Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions. Participate in architecture discussions and recommend best practices for application design. Perform code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality and performance. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Support application deployments, testing, and ongoing maintenance activities. Continuously evaluate and adopt modern development tools and practices to improve team efficiency.
