ASCP - Clinical Lab Technician - MLT / CLT Specialist Join an innovative diagnostic team at a thriving community health center in a coastal town. This full-time, first-shift position offers the opportunity to impact patient care through accurate laboratory testing. Responsibilities Conduct routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests—including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond—following established guidelines and protocols. Evaluate test results for precision and quality, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform essential maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment. Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis to ensure smooth workflow. Document all laboratory procedures meticulously; mentor new team members or students and uphold the highest quality standards. Create and maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment in accordance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a relevant allied health degree. Certification in ASCP/AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) required to be secured within one year of employment and maintained thereafter. Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within healthcare teams. Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solve effectively in fast-paced conditions. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail, especially in quality control and documentation processes.
